At least you are saving that stamp money. :)

So tell your honest, deep and intellectual thoughts on this Huntsville marathon. Why in the heck does it not start until 10am?

I think they are trying to avoid freezing temps at the start. 8000' that late in the season could be in the 20's with an earlier start. Rachelle, I have a really good feeling about this marathon...

hmmm I might just have to make it my fall marathon.....how steep is the downhill? I am a little apprehensive after the Mt. Nebo near quadruple stress fracture!

From Kam on Mon, Jul 09, 2012 at 15:43:52 from 68.66.163.179

2 bucks. It really adds up, but not to the money I spent on altech today. I wish I hadn't been reading your blog. But I'll have 2 new pairs of shoes. I got some more mirages and a pair of hattoris to try.

From Kam on Mon, Jul 09, 2012 at 15:47:55 from 68.66.163.179

The downhill is 2.7% Enough to be very advantageous, but not outrageous. Things really flatten out for the last 5 or 6, though, so it's not a screaming fast finish like St. George. http://www.huntsvilleutahmarathon.com/images/HuntsvilleMarathonRoute.pdf

You will have to let me know what you think of the Hattoris. I do like the idea of not having to bend down and tie my shoes before a run. ha!

2.7% grade honestly sounds about perfect and according to my Dad it is absolutely gorgeous up there.

i've been rotating a couple of pair of Hattori's for the last year or so. i love 'em. it's like running barefoot without the risk. good for foot strengthening, form development etc. plus they're super light, and feel like wearing slippers.

From Kam on Wed, Jul 11, 2012 at 09:29:57 from 68.66.163.179

So I ordered the hattoris, but they subsequently told me they were out of stock. It would have been sweet to get a pair for so cheap. Check out altrec, JD. They might have some in your size.

From JD on Wed, Jul 11, 2012 at 09:54:02 from 70.96.78.149

wow, that is a good price. they're out of my size also. thanks for the tip, i've wasn't aware of altrec!
