Lately miles have been hard to come by.  Work is crazy busy at both jobs.  I looked at my weekly graph, and guffawed at my hubris of paying for UVM when this is my training volume.  I gotta hit 50-55 this week and 55-65 next week to be legit, I think.  IDK.  That might help, or it's too late to do any good.  Reasonable long runs might be my only saving grace.

Anyhow, this morning Ash joined me for 10k on her bike.  She was all bundled up with double pants and a sweater while I ran shirtless.  I added on while she finished her breakfast and played at a park for a while.  It was so nice to have her along.  May mornings in the 50s are incomparable.

p.m.  My neighbor Travis is beginning to run.  I joined him on his ladder workout;  he runs a modest distance north, then returns home running up and down every cross street.  He didn't like that I wasn't breathing heavy.  When he spends the next 4 years running consistently, he won't breathe heavily at that pace either.

Just get in what you can... sounds like you are very busy! I bet it was nice to have some company on the bike. I always enjoy it when Andrea bikes along on my 2nd runs, makes the time fly by.

busy times. good luck.

i agree with jake -- get whatever mileage in that you can and just try to stay as consistent as possible. you have a great base and that will be very helpful.

Don't stress too much Kam. You ran that 30k a couple of weeks ago and built a ton of fitness training for Boston.

I am having a difficult time getting LR in for UV myself. So much family stuff going on lately that forces me to run long alone which sucks but oh well it's good for my mental strength. :)

You have it all there so do it. What do you have to loose?

Rachelle, long runs are nice, but when I look at the quality of your workouts during the week, I throw up in my mouth a little bit. You'll chick me again at UVM, and deservedly so. It'll be an honor. One day I'll beat you in a race...

Give up. Thanks. Give up the war I mean, not on running:) At work with a computer after going several days without=lots of comments. Some meaningful, but most not...as you have personally witnessed. PS. Stop using big words everywhere. It's making my head hurt.
