7 am  Legacy to Glover, Back on Main.

It was a day out of Oklahoma!  Oh, what a beautiful morning....

The LPT section that is set back from the road was particularly transcendent.  I counted a dozen different calls from birds, plus frogs.  The sun was up, but not hot.  The company was great; Ash pedaled with me.  Fartleks over the wood bridge section, with a little girl dusting me off on her bike every so often.  If I happened to beat her to an imaginary finish line, she would say, "I'm not racing, Dad."  By the turnaround we were thirsty, but needed a mile or so to make it to the skate park.  One water fountain was flowing, thank goodness.

In the last couple miles, I picked it up, but left my partner far behind.  She was calling out for me to wait, so I did, and ran the last mile in slow.

Mountain Dew recovery, and Happy Mother's Day.

Does it date me that I can sing the next few bars of that song? :-) As for water, isn't there a water-bottle holder on the bike? I'd totally have the biker mule it along on warm/hot days.

I need to install a water bottle cage, that would definitely extend the range of comfort on these runs. I love that there is usually a park within a mile or so of most of my routes.

Haha, I can picture you singing that!
