8:30 p.m.  No switchbacks for a change.  I needed a break.  Those are doing a lot of good, though.  I just ran tonight; a couple miles with my son, then 6 or 7 by myself, easy loping along.  .2 miles on a new treadmill.  It took 3 hours to set it up, but should have only been 2.  The power went out at work, so I got home with time to kill.  We killed it, all right.  Reading the instructions is a great idea, at least that's what Grace and I discovered.  Everybody wanted to help, including Jack.  He was walking around with wrenches and screwdrivers, trying to put things together.  The only damage was Gus and Anna pulled a curtain rod out of the wall.  I got after them too much.

New treadmill? What did you get?

Hey Kam me and my friend Cynthia (that was at the hobblecreek half also) are planning a long run down monte on the hunstville course if you want to meet up with us when we do this. We are shooting for next week. I really wanted to go this week but it may not work out with Cynthias schedule.

I got a C900 Pro Nordic Track, 3 hp motor, up to 12 mph and 15% incline. It's a big step up from what I had.

Angie, that sounds great...so you are talking about Sep. 1st? How many miles? What pace?

From Kam on Thu, Aug 23, 2012 at 11:26:13 from 68.66.163.179

I'd rather run on the 2nd half of the course, as I'm not too concerned about rolling down a 2-4% hill. All the twists and turns by the monastery into the finish are new, though.

Wow - you're living the high life now!

I don't know that I'll spend much time utilizing those speed and incline capabilities. The speed is the less unlikely of the two. Crockett would enjoy a 15% incline...

My favorite thing about it is I won't have any more hearing loss caused by squeaking decks, whirring motors and too loud TVs.

The power is out at my work today but unfortunetely I work at a hospital and they have everything backed up (something about the patients that are on ventilators) which does not mesh well with a free day off! Your day sounds much more exciting!

Rachelle, I guess standards are a lot lower in medical device manufacturing than in actual health care. Andrea, I am sorry for all the injury difficulty you are experiencing.

From AngieB on Thu, Aug 23, 2012 at 12:25:31 from 159.212.71.69

Hey Kam ya sept 1st. I am going to go 7:50 8:00 pace and then try and run full marathon pace the last little bit of it so 6:50 7:00ish but Cynthia is a speed demon so pretty sure her paces will be faster.
