Another 10k on the tm.  I wasn't feeling particularly inspired, and it took me 55 minutes.  They are miles, but I'm not very proud of the pace and effort.  For tonight, it's all I mustered.

It's weird not having a spring marathon breathing down my neck for the first time since 2009  Maybe that's the problem--nothing tangible to work toward.  But that's fine, sometimes life intervenes.  If running is reduced solely to a mental health exercise for a little while, so be it.  For March I'll set the goal to run 4 times per week, and be closer to 30 than 20 mpw.

Kam,

I was in a similar situation, running-wise, a few months ago. I decided to skip marathon training during this winter season, I will do Rome marathon in a few weeks, if the Pope election will allow, but just as a long run. I "discovered" I didn't have to do mega-fast-miles all the time, and suddenly I had fresh legs all the time, it was great to do some fast training. Winter is almost over, just a few more weeks, but I still want to keep this fast/short runs program until may-june and then if I feel good again I will start thinking a fall marathon. There is still a running life without marathons!!!
