It's been busy at work this week.  Hubris took over on Saturday afternoon.  I took an ill-advised 14+ miler to Farmington Pond, via BST.

With three miles to go, I was hurting, but too proud to call for a ride.

But seeing all the streams with their undiverted, natural flows was great.  Just after a side-by-side went zooming by in a cloud of dust and noise, I was treated to a dog-fight between a couple of red-tails.  Chasing, banking, diving.  The pond was pristine, with ducks, geese, and fishermen.

Other than a sore butt and mildly disappointing pace, this run had a lot going for it.

Next time I'll remember to take that intermediate step between 8 and 14.

1-2 more of these runs and you'll be fighting for the cup.... That doesn't exist.🏆

I can count on three fingers the times I've ran over 13 miles this year on any given run. I believe one of those was with you. I believe we did a 17 miler in the summertime.
