On Monday, work kept me till nearly midnight, so I had to put this off till Tue.

The blog motivated me to do a workout, not just grind out some miles.  I ended up with a 2 mile warmup, then 4@ 7 min pace, and 3 to cool down.  I covered the display with my shirt, and didn't look at it through 3 commercial breaks on Biggest Loser.  At that time I only had .5 left at harder effort, so it came in okay.  It's a good thing I don't have any races planned in the next couple months; I'd just be disappointed with the results.

So I've been thinking about perceived effort and suffering.  I think I'll tailor my workouts to target suffering for an amount of time.  After a certain point, it's just about how much can you ignore or set aside the pain, and if I don't practice, I won't have game on a race day.

Ugh.  Gina didn't go home, and even worse, she won immunity.

Seriously so over Gina! What the heck?

Nice workout Kam.

A workout for a change. Nice half a couple weeks ago; that was a screaming good time.

This Gina?

No, the Gina I'm thinking of is a lawyer from the south, about 50 years old with blond hair, weighing in around 180 lbs. Your Gina wouldn't really fit in on the show, except as a host, maybe.

Sometimes I think BL is rigged... This was a week I think that showed that! No way Gina could have outlasted Dani with the challenge! Gina is gross.

Great job on your workout, holding 7 mm miles would be a challenge, I better try it! Racing kind of stinks. Why can't we all just run really really slow?

I hear you on the Gina thing. I actually have started to hit fast forward anytime she speaks and/or cries.

Now Dolvett is another story. I could watch him FOREVER!!!! :) :) :)

Rigged? I don't know, maybe. Gina kept her initial position better. Racing does stink, but there's nothing like the horde of people at a start, all that nervous energy and excitement, thousands of legs primed and ready to unleash the fury...

What kills me is how much we all pay to suffer like that.

Teena, the ladies around my house agree that Dolvett is pretty hot, definitely compared to Bob. Incidentally, did you know that Bob is a name that means Robert? It's also an acronym for "bucket of blood".
