9:30 pm  I got dressed to go for this streak preserving run.  We were waiting for my son to conclude a treasure hunt for his birthday presents.  9:30 became 10:30 before he was done, and it stopped making sense to go just for the sake of going, when a 5k was starting 8 hours later.  I took of my clothes and went to bed, thus ending my longest (meager) consecutive running days streak at 20.  The moral of the story is:  run in the morning.

It's actually a bit of a relief to nip it in the bud.

Treasure hunts are fun, even if they go an hour over the expected time frame:)

I agree, if I wait till later the chances of it getting done less likely with all of the obstacles that get in the way, aside from our motivation after a full day of work. You are a late runner historically though. Why change if it's been working for you? I run so slow in the mornings, and speed work is a joke. The times I wait to do it later, I am much faster. Although I agree, feels good to do in the morning to have it done!

Did I really just comment that long on something you already said and we already knew? Yes, I think I did.
