After spending the weekend at Fenway, on the freedom walk, Walden Pond, etc...it's nearly game time. Three days worth of dire emails from the BAA warning about high temps, dehydration, heat exhaustion and so on should have been enough to get me all wound up about tomorrow. But I feel pretty calm. Weather is out of my control. So I'll lace up my green shoes, don my black shorts and my orange tank (it's a stunningly ugly ensemble, I assure you) and roll from Hopkinton to Copley in the morning. It's been a great trip! I'm sure the marathon will be memorable, and at the very least, I'll have a war story with which to bore people.

Tara, thanks for the encouragement and long run company. Getting ready for Boston this year was much less solitary and much more enjoyable. I'm excited to see how the series turns out for you next Saturday.
