6:15 a.m.  My brown crocs are too big for morning runs.  I ran out of the left one three times.  Luckily, my ninja skills prevented any falls.  I decided to hit up legacy today, telling myself I was boring to run to Farmington and back all the time.  Well, this run reminded me why I usually stick with my other route.  I hate crossing the freeway, legacy smells bad, and running into the sun is unpleasant.  I'll stick with my north/south route shaded by the mountains, thank you very much.

"never trust a brown croc before noon."

the LPT here in farmington doesn't stink - but it is fully exposed to the sun for most of the long summer day. and there is the ever present cyclist hazard.

LPT is great from Pages Lane north. The south section thrills with no trees, no shade and no water. But you do get a landfill and 2 sewage treatment plants. Did Farmington turn on any drinking fountains in the parks yet?

Add vole infestation to the reasons to avoid the south end of the LPT. The trail in NSL is covered in carcasses (or is that carci?) and live ones scampering across the trail.

the water fountain at the track right next to the school bus parking lot is on. but the bathrooms were locked this morning.

One night a couple weeks ago, I went off course for water at that park. Sure enough, the fountain was shut off. Andy, I heard about the voles. That sounds nasty. Apparently the cyclists are hitting them with great regularity. Add to the list of stuff stuck on my running shoes--vole carcass.
